The Back Porch Mercantile is excited to be giving away one free ticket to participate in Annie Sloan's North American Tour stop in Nashville, March 26! Come join The Back Porch Mercantile and learn from Annie herself as she talks about how she came up with the colors, the history and what colors look good together. There will also be a hand-on workshop portion to learn about some great techniques. This contest will close by Wednesday, February 29 at 6 pm. Want to come? Great! Here's how to enter....
1. Comment on this post with what color you would like to use on your next project. Share a little detail about your project. Such as,"...Antoinette and Old White would be perfect for updating a new dresser for my room." It does not have to be a color you have used before, maybe one you would like to try.
2. Please make sure you include an email address to reach you by. I have to have a response from the winner ASAP.
3. You can also enter by stopping by Ironic and entering to win in store.
Good luck!!!
*Please note: This giveaway only includes a ticket for the event in Nashville valued at $350.00. It does not include lodging or travel. It is only valid for the workshop in Nashville, March 26. No purchase necessary.

Hi there,
ReplyDeleteI would love to join the Annie Sloan Back Porch American Tour. I have purchased the gorgeous Louis Blue with waxes, brushes, books and just need to get started. I'm refinishing an antique window with beautiful crosses that I hope to make look amazing with these products then replace the glass with mirror and hang in our home. I'd love to join in and learn everything I can about these fabulous paints and waxes to transform a few more pieces I have.
I'm eager to learn and just waiting to have some fun!!

I hope to see you there

I would love to paint the kitchen cabinets in my 1930's cabin. I love the idea of using Country Grey with Dark Wax. I would also use Graphite as an accent.

Hello!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun opportunity. I love Annie Sloan paints and the gorgeous furniture they transform! I have never used them myself but I've been avidly researching the paints, colors, waxes, and finishes lately. I am eager to get started and it a try! I would love to enhance the look of a vintage Henredon dresser in our bedroom using Paris Grey with a Graphite top and Old White accents on trim. Arles interior. Wax washed in Old White over the Graphite top and clear wax and dark wax on the body. I just need help to learn how!

Hi!
ReplyDeleteI want to start on an old dress of my husband's late Mom. It is one of those old colonial desks but has pretty legs and top. I want to do the desk body in the lovely old white but the inside of the drawer in the new Antoinette as a wonderful surprise of color when when you open the drawer.

Hi Jenny,
ReplyDeleteI am planning on painting the antique furniture for my daughter's room in pure white and highlight the details with the dark wax. I have been meaning to place an order with you very soon. I wish I was closer to Knoxville so I could attend one of your ASCP classes, but it would be lots of fun to take part of the tour!! I hope you are doing well.

I would love, love, love to go see Annie in Nashville. I have so many projects that I want to use her paints on. A dining room buffet, chairs, and china cabinet to start with. And lots of frames and accent pieces as well. I want to use Paris Grey, Duck Egg Blue, and Old White in combination with the dark wax. I have a friend from Nashville who is going and it would be great to meet up and go with her! Thanks for the opportunity!

I have never used her paints but I am dying to use it on an old dresser! I can't decide to use Graphite or French Linen.. I would love to see the colors in person. I have no local shops that carry the products.
