Annie's Brushes are Coming!

 {Annie's Large Brush- Coming soon! Image from www.anniesloan.com}

A paint brush can make or break painting a piece of furniture.  Loose hairs, too stiff, not big enough, to big, excetra can really ruin the fun.  A good paint brush is a good investment to make for a pleasurable experience painting and for a beautfiul outcome on a piece.

Annie's brushes are the BEST brushes to use.  Easy to hold in the hand, has a nice movement for application (not too stiff or soft), smooth application and of course, are pretty to look at it with the red on the handle.  These natural bristle brushes will be available at The Back Porch Mercantile at Ironic and online in May in three sizes. They can be used for painting and waxing and are easy to clean.  I do not recommned waxing and painting with same brush.  I would have a brush just for waxing only and for painting only.

Annie's description from her website is as follows..."Made of pure bristle, this is a great brush for painting, particularly to achieve texture. It is oval, with a metal ferule and wooden handle.
These type of brushes have always been my favourite as they allow you to paint expressively as the bristle is strong and firm but pliable. They can also be used for applying wax."

For more information or to preorder a brush, please email The Back Porch Mercantile by clicking here or call 865.588.3131.

Before The Frost...

It is supposed to freeze tonight. All of the beautiful spring blooms will probably disappear. I quickly ran out tonight and snapped a few photos of some of our blooms at our home tonight. Nathan and I were lucky to receive some flowers from his Grandmother that she had been growing for years and transplanted so nicely.

{Columbine...I must of moved a smidge!}
